Get the #WordPress Publication Archive plug-in on your blog.
Go to plug-ins and click 'install new'.
Search WP Publication Archive and install it to your
WP blog.

After you install and activate the plug-in, add a
publication.
On your side dashboard in your back
office, you will find a New Publications heading.
Click on it and once the page opens, click 'add
new'. You will see a normal article start page.

Scroll down the page about halfway and click
the button that says 'upload publication'.

Click 'select files' to pick files from your
computer.
You can also drag and drop files here.

Find the file on your computer and click open,
this will upload it to your publication archive but
you are not done just yet.

Scroll down the frame and add a clear,
complete title, a description and any relevant
information, like a caption before proceeding.

On the line that says Link URL, click 'file URL'.
This will load a preset URL that will be used for the
downloading the page.

Select 'insert into post'. You need to copy the
URL that appears in the publication line above the
upload publication. The preset URL from the blog
should be there.

Create a download page. Click on 'pages', then
click 'add new'.

Go to Google and find a download now button,
they are everywhere.
Upload that picture to
your media library.

On the new page, make it a confirmation page
from your auto responder campaign.
So the page is very basic. Headline says
something like, Thank you for confirming your
subscription. Access your download below.

Click on add media, top left corner of the post
box.
This will take you to your media library where
you can find your download now button. Click on
that and set it up for your page. This will employ
some ALT text, and then the URL you copied from
the publication page and set it up to link to a
custom URL, and then put that URL into the link to
box. Make it center justification and then click insert
into post
If you have done this right, your page should
be neat and clean with it all center justification.

Set a password. Make the password simple and
then include the password in the email that gets
sent to have them confirm the subscription. In your
publish options you will find the default to visibility
is public. Click the link that says change and
change it to password protected.

Enter a simple password and then click OK. Then
you click 'publish'.

Set up your email marketing campaign so that it
goes to a generic thank you page provided by
your email marketing and then the confirmation
link goes to your download page and includes
the password for your page.
