This will intrigued people that does not follow your group yet to know what your group is all about. In the beginning you can make your group as public to

after you just created it. However in long time you
would want to make it as closed group so that you

interest. Private group is not recommended because

You should determine a proper topic or theme to your
group posts and content so that people can be
ecstatic about. You should target using a broader
topic to attract more people to your group. Example
of broader topic such as “Rock Music Fans”,
“Promotion of American Products”, “High School
Football Mascots” and many more.
3) Create surveys
You can promote your group page to attract more
people to follow them by creating surveys to improve
your group content. You can blast emails to your
existing followers and Facebook friends and share
them publicly every where on the internet. People
like to be a part of an important surveys and you can
link your surveys back to your Facebook group page.
People like to feel as they are important and they
would likely suggest your page to their circle of
friends to join your group.
In sum, you should every day promoting and
engaging people in your Facebook group page in
make your page as active as you possibly can. You
also should not give up too soon and have patience
because good things come with time. However you
